All payments are processed securely by Stripe. PaperYak does not store your card details at any point.
Fees are charged at the point of submission. Because AI analysis begins immediately upon payment confirmation, payments are non-refundable once analysis has started. If there is a technical failure on our side that prevents a report from being delivered, we will issue a full credit or refund at our discretion. Please contact support@paperyak.com.
Credit bundles purchased in advance never expire. They are tied to your account and are non-transferable.
Your essays are yours. You retain full ownership of any essay text you submit. By submitting an essay you grant PaperYak a limited, non-exclusive licence to process it solely for the purpose of generating your feedback report.
PaperYak owns all rights to the platform, software, branding, and feedback report format. You may not reproduce, resell, or redistribute any part of our service or its outputs without written permission.
Grade predictions generated by PaperYak are estimates only. They are not guarantees of the grade you will receive from your institution. Actual grades depend on your specific marker, institution policy, submission context, and many other factors beyond our control.
PaperYak is a supplement to — not a substitute for feedback from your tutor, supervisor, or academic support services.
We take your privacy seriously. Essay text is processed solely to generate your report and is deleted immediately after analysis completes. We store only the feedback report itself, linked to your account.

PaperYak is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated feedback will be accurate or complete.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PaperYak and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service — including but not limited to academic outcomes, loss of data, or loss of profits.
Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the relevant submission.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the website or by email. Continued use of PaperYak after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from your use of PaperYak shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
